China Paper offers both glossy and matte coated paper in single sheets and rolls, with a weight range of 80 to 250 grams.
C1S/C2S coated paper is produced by applying a coating of adhesive, kaolin, and other materials to both sides of the paper. This treatment results in a surface that is ideal for fine screen halftone printing. The paper exhibits high surface strength, exceptional smoothness, and strong gloss, along with a significant adhesion to printing ink. Consequently, it is widely utilized in high-end printed products.
100% Virgin Pulp: The paper is made of high quality virgin pulp, ensuring the best printing performance.
High Printing Gloss: The paper provides a high level of printing gloss, enhancing the visual appeal of printed materials.
Smooth Printing Surface: The surface of coated paper is smooth, which is conducive to smooth and precise printing.
ISO 9001:2000, iso14001:2004, SGS, all available.
C1S/C2S art paper is used for high-speed sheet-fed offset printing and circular printing. Mainly used for magazines, color paintings, product catalogs, exhibition tickets, book covers, inserts, promotional materials, children's books, annual reports, high-end artworks, appreciation books, ancient paintings, photography magazines, etc.
How Does C2S Art Paper Work?
C2S Art Paper, or Coated Two Sides Art Paper, functions through a special coating process that enhances the surface properties of base paper. The key working principle lies in the application of a fine coating layer—typically made of calcium carbonate, kaolin clay, and binding agents—on both sides of the paper.
Here's how it works:
Base Paper Preparation:
Uncoated paper (usually woodfree paper) serves as the base.
Double Coating Process:
A smooth coating slurry is applied to both sides of the paper. This coating fills in the surface irregularities, creating a uniform, non-porous, and glossy finish.
Calendering:
After coating, the paper passes through heated rollers (calenders) to compress and polish the surface. This step ensures high smoothness and gloss.
Printing Behavior:
Because of its smooth and sealed surface, printing inks remain on the surface rather than being absorbed into the fibers. This allows for:
High-resolution image printing
Vibrant and accurate color reproduction
Sharper text and graphic detail
Drying & Finishing:
Once printed, the ink dries through oxidation or UV curing, as absorption is minimal. This results in a clean, crisp printed appearance.
