The base paper typically uses 40-120gsm weight, optimized for both durability and flexibility. High-quality wood pulp undergoes special bleaching processes to achieve the necessary surface smoothness (1-3µm roughness) for proper capsule adhesion and uniform color development. The layered architecture maintains dimensional stability during printing and handling, preventing misalignment in multi-copy forms.
